Keyword Discovery - FAQ
What is the difference between the Global premium and historical databases?
The Global premium database contains approx 60 million keyword searches and
is based purely on user panel data. The panel data is free from all
skew caused by automated agents. Skew is a major problem that has
traditionally faced all keyword suggestion services. Typically search
statistics reported on popular queries are impacted by various
automated agents such as search engine crawlers, rank and bid
checkers. These inflate the true search numbers making it difficult to
accurately estimate available traffic. The global premium database shows data and search figures from the last 12 months.
The historical database contains over 600 million keywords from over 200
different sources. Some queries may be effected by skew. The historical database shows data and search figures from June 2005 to present time.
